research for his recent book, Massey will
also highlight the saga of Ha`aheo o Hawai`i (Pride of Hawaii). The Royal Yacht of King
Kamehameha II–also known as Cleopatra's
Barge–began as a pleasure craft launched
from Salem, Mass. in 1816. Enjoy a glimpse
into the history that surrounded the ship's
opulent life and led to its end in Hanalei Bay
in 1824.
Hope to see you all there!
