The Threads of Kauai’s History held on October 2017 at the Kauai Marriott Resort highlighted clothing that reflects the many cultures of Kauai.  Much appreciation to the gracious Kauai Marriott Resort staff and management for their support of the Kauai Historical Society.  Sincere mahalo to the business who donated wonderful dining, hotel room nights, and fun activities for those who participated in our prize drawing.

Phyllis Kunimura & Bob Schleck were honored at our “The Threads of Kauai’s History” fundraising event, for their tireless effors in restoring the Historic County building on Rice Street to it’s original state.  The building is now home to the Council and Council Services offices as well as the Kauai Historical Society’s office.
